Raising responsible children is very important to me and I think in a way society. Giving children responsibilities of learning how to their finances. This will help your child create opportunities to be responsible and have successful behavior for them. Making them responsible for their spending. Making them responsible for their money by creating a budget. A budget is like a blueprint for future monetary success. It will show them that they can be in control of their future. My kids are just like any other kids, and they are always asking for something or another. Instead of just giving kids what they want I am trying to teach them the importance of earning the money they need to buy what they want. Giving children responsibilities helps to make them self-reliant and self-confident. For younger kids, this financial success can be earned from chores. For older kids, it can be from a job. Chores are a great way to teach children responsibility. Both teach self-discipline, time management, empathy, and responsibility. What is Budgeting? A budget is a financial plan to reach a specific goal or outcome. Without knowing your cash flow, you could be putting yourself into a bad financial situation and not even know it. Handling transactions in old-fashioned ways can make you realize how much you're spending. There's something more aware of handing over actual cash instead of swiping a debit card. Simple tricks like this make you have time to stop and think: "Is this purchase necessary?" It's important to have a regular check on how you've created your budget. If it isn't working, tweak it. It is your budget, after all, just make sure you keep your long-term financial goals in the picture. Start with the basics. Outline your income, account balances and debts, and tracking expenses. As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
