In our Nature Kid Elemental lessons, we will also be learning about the magical aspects of these courses. Each course is not just linked to us through the educational eyes, but through magic as well. For these course links, they are more representative of what magical attribute would be connected with the course. In Pagan culture, everything has specific magical attributes. In Paganism we call forth and harness all different types of energy. All around the Universe and within our world we travel. When we travel, we feel safe and secure. Like many Pagans, we use magick to instill our safety. People have been using magick to travel safely for ages. In the dawn of time we traveled by foot now we can travel by plane, train, or automobile. We need safety no matter the way we travel which is why we use magick. We use poppets, and sachets, placed in our vehicle. We say charms, and chants, before we get in the car, or the mode of transportation we are thinking of using. Universe to create our sacred space. As you buckle your seat belt see a shield of protection shield your mode of transport. Most don't associate transportation with religion, but in many ways, they are connected. In Christianity, you can see this, from the way the care and respect are given to the Popemobile. The Popemobile is a special vehicle that is not just protected, armored, and consecrated. While the most Pagan mode of transportation is not armored, we do use certain methods to protect our vehicles. You can draw sigils on your car windows, protecting and at the same time blessing the vehicle. Placing herbal sachets under your seat or simply carrying them on your person. While most would not think stones and minerals can bring safe travel, they can. Certain stones are connected to transportation. Malachite, labradorite, rhodonite, amethyst, shugnite, and moonstone are all excellent stones to bring both protective and positive energy while you travel. These stones help with allowing us to travel within the Universe. We even see travel in the tarot. In the tarot, each card and suit have a meaning. There are four suits in the tarot. Like the tarot, every element is representative of a person's personality and actions. The Chariot is the card that signifies travel. New adventures lie ahead. Three and Eight of Wands in addition to the Chariot show that travel will be happening soon in the querent's life. The deities that are associated with the home vary depending upon which pantheon you follow. We are just going to look at only two pantheons. In the Semitic pantheon, you have the God Baalshamin, a God of the Sky and heavens. They would pray to him to grant them a journey without poor weather. Also in the Shinto pantheon is the Gods Kunado-no-Kami. Together they were in charge of the protection against disaster and malicious spirits from causing harm. Travelers would ask for their protection against ghosts, haunted buildings, demons, and other such specters. Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.
