It is important to honor each stage with some form of celebration. In the Mother stage, it is important to not just celebrate the pregnancy, but also surround yourself with those who support you. Traditional baby showers usually are to supply the expectant mother with everything she’ll need for her new child. You can choose to make it a family affair and invite the female members of your family. You can also invite several of her friends who are parents, or guardians. It is important to perform a blessing in addition to the celebration to surround the mother with nurturing energy. Present her with gifts that will help to nurture her spirit in addition to providing for the baby. This can be lotions, incense, oils, stones, or even teas. Her friends can inscribe their hopes and dreams on a piece of paper for her and give it with her nurturing gift. Celebrate the Mother within Me Ritual It is best to hold the ritual some place that is is private and has a table. This table will be your altar space. Decorate it with all the new mother's favorite colors, objects, and candles. Have all the women gather around her holding hands. If alone open your hands out to welcome the supportive energy from the Goddess. Allow this time to reflect on what this new awakening means to you. Once you feel you have reflected then it is time to write down any fears you have about this upcoming stage. The other strong women around you can share their fears during pregnancy, childbirth, and of raising young ones. Allow some time to reflect on those fears then it is time to burn it. Once the paper is fully burned it is time to discuss all the great things that come with this stage. You are a mother; you are now ready to for this next stage. Encourage her to reflect and write about these thoughts after the ritual. “Being a mother is an attitude, not a biological relation.”

As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
