Just like Goddesses, we have stages. We are going to be exploring the stages of the female life cycle. In the second stage, you have adulting, the Crone stage. In this stage, the mind is filled with imagination and exploration. We are going to be connecting with our inner crone Goddess In many Wiccan practices, the Goddess is worshiped in triplicate, made up of three forms: the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. These archetypes are sometimes depicted as three life phases of a single goddess paralleling the phases of the moon Waxing Moon, the Full Moon, and the Waning Crescent Moon. The triple goddess has been worshiped since humans have been on this planet. Throughout ancient Greek, Roman, and Celtic pantheons, you can find the different forms of the Goddess. In some pantheons the triple Goddesses were depicted as siblings, or as three separate goddesses united as one, or as three life stages of the same deity. The Crone phase of life corresponds with the Waning Crescent Moon. The Crone is in the winter of her life, she is a strong, leader, and wise woman. This stage is full of mystery and imparting her divine intuition. The cronehood stage is a stage where the mind is full of gratitude for the knowledge of the Ancestors. The Crone energy should be called upon for any magick that you need gratitude and wisdom. Rituals for receiving guidance, fertility, healing, and intuition for your spiritual growth magick. The Triple Goddess echos a woman’s life cycle and embodies the many aspects of her life. In the third stage, you have the elder, the crone stage. In this stage, the mind is filled with relaxation and reflection. In this crone stage, your state of being is in aging and descent. This stage of an older woman's life is often when they spend time with their grandchildren or finally takes time for themselves. In this stage, a woman is moving us closer to the Underworld. She is yearning for peace, respect, and ancestral connections. The desire for this connection manifests itself often by embracing the mentor role to others. In this stage, it is so important to maintain strength, both in the body and the mind. Your cardiovascular health needs to be essential as well. As you age, your maximum heart rate goes down. Physical changes start changing with our hormones start changing. Women's life stages are based on the reproductive cycle, beginning with menstruation and ending with menopause. With menopause, you will no longer menstruate. There is a stage between full menopause when you haven't had a period for 12 months and when your periods are less regular this stage is called perimenopause. The body changes it goes through hormonal changes. In addition to mood changes, there are also other changes in the body. It can cause your body to reserve energy more, which can lead to weight gain. You will have symptoms of night sweats, hot flashes, irritability, and moodiness. It is also important to know when to ask your doctor for additional suggestions. During menopause your hormones will fluctuate, some may even need to take hormone replacement. Understand that having healthy lifestyle choices can help you feel your best at any stage. As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
