Just like Goddesses, we have stages. We are going to be exploring the stages of the female life cycle. In the first stage, you have adolescence, the maiden stage. In this stage, the mind is filled with imagination and exploration. We are going to be connecting with our inner maiden Goddess. In many Wiccan practices, the Goddess is worshiped in triplicate, made up of three forms: the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. These archetypes are sometimes depicted as three life phases of a single goddess paralleling the phases of the moon Waxing Moon, Full Moon, and Full Moon. The triple goddess has been worshiped since humans have been on this planet. Throughout ancient Greek, Roman, and Celtic pantheons, you can find the different forms of the Goddess. In some pantheons the triple Goddesses were depicted as siblings, or as three separate goddesses united as one, or as three life stages of the same deity. The Maiden's first phase of life corresponds with the Waxing Moon. The Maiden is in the springtime of her life, embodying beauty, innocence, curiosity, and self-expression. The maiden is free to play without judgment, to express her creativity without fear. The Maiden energy should be called upon for any magick that you need strength and a fresh start. Rituals for new beginnings, fertility energy, independence, and initiation magick. The Triple Goddess echos a woman’s life cycle and embodies the many aspects of her life. In the first stage, you have adolescence, the maiden stage. In this stage, the mind is filled with imagination and exploration. In this maiden stage, your state of being is in constant play and exploring nature. Physical changes start changing with our hormones starting to develop. Women's life stages are based on the reproductive cycle, beginning with menstruation and ending with menopause. Every month, an egg is released from the ovary during ovulation. It travels down the fallopian tube. The egg and lining are shed during menstruation. With menstruation comes many different symptoms, such as menstrual cramps, and mood swings. In this stage, the Maiden is growing up blooming beautifully and becoming aware of herself. With these hormonal changes comes mental and emotional development. In this stage, your emotional intelligence starts to absorb. Herbs associated with the Maiden are: lavender, mint, lily, dandelion, yarrow, calendula, thyme, daisy, pink rosebuds, raspberry leaf, vitex, lemon verbena, hibiscus. The crystals associated with the maiden are rose quartz, blue kyanite, emerald, green tourmaline, citrine, carnelian, rhodochrosite, silver, and clear quartz. Carrying with you connects you with Maiden Goddess's energy. “The Maiden archetype, like spring, like the waxing moon, is the healthy beginning phase of a woman's life -- but it becomes unhealthy when we stay trapped in it, not progressing, never developing into the mature feminine. Like stagnant water, we get stuck somewhere on our path. And we stay in these small patterns of girlhood even though we are now in women's bodies.”

As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
