Mabon is a considered the Witches Thanksgiving, a time that we give thanks to all we have in our lives. We will be creating a Gratitude Tree that will be on our family altar so that we can be reminded of all we have. Every day we will be writing one thing we are appreciative of and grateful for all we have in our lives. What is gratitude and why is it so important? Gratitude when you feel thankful and grateful for the things that either others have given you or you have accomplished. Many people think gratitude is such an easy thing, but it is not easy all the time. This is because we have a naturally completive nature and compare our achievements to others. Instead of comparing successes or failures try being happy for them for their successes and help support them through their failures. I mention this because we can not truly feel the power of our gratitude if we are comparing ours to others. Taking stock in all your grateful for does not mean that you are ignoring any negative things in your life. You are not ignoring them you are just choosing to put your energy into focusing on the abundance you have in your life thus attracting more positive energy into your life. This is called the Law of Attraction, we use the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into reality. For my Gratitude Tree I am reusing the same tree branch that I used from my Ancestral Tree during Samhain. o Your branch should not be so big that it will be unable to stand in the jar. Before I place my branch into a jar I place a bunch of acorns or corn into the container so that you can wedge the branch into place. We then cut circles out and write what we are grateful for in our life. It is important to teach your children what they should be grateful. So when having your children write what they are thankful to have in their lives explain to them why. For example: I wrote family, because my family makes me feel so happy and loved. We then hang them on the tree while I do I say a gratitude blessing: Ga lu lo hi gi ni du da Sky our grandfather Nu da wa gi ni li si Moon our grandmother E lo hi gi ne tse Earth our Mother Ga li e li ga I am thankful Si gi ni gé yu We love each other O sa li he li ga We are grateful Let us be grateful to the mirror for revealing to us our appearance only.

As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
