In our Nature Kid Elemental lessons, we will also be learning about the magical aspects of these courses. Each course is not just linked to us through the educational eyes, but through magic as well. I'll walk you through the course and how you can create a personal connection with each of them. In Pagan culture, everything that is magical can correspond to a certain direction, color, and specific attributes. In Paganism we harness all of the energy in everything. Most practitioners will lean closer to nature instead of looking to find the depth of magick in educational areas. Right now we are going to be looking at the educational aspect of Math. Think about how we use math in every aspect of our lives, from cooking, to travel, to our job, and home life. Math is used in all areas of life. It was used to create, invent, and build all that is around us. It is used in the recipes used to make most of the food we eat. The mathematic knowledge has magical properties that can be seen in the actual representation of the solar system. The solar system mathematically spins around the Universe, which is why it represents, math. The sun dictates time which is a form of math. How the Earth orbits the sun affects the climate, and weather patterns. Calculating how other planets' orbital pattern impacts our future climate pattern is a mathematical science. Solar energy uses a calculation to get the most energy to produce power to all is harnessed by the Sun. The Sun gives the color yellow which corresponds to the color of intellect and knowledge. Mathematics and religion can be a happy blend. Everything is made up of different cells each of those cells has a numerical, and spiritual value. At the beginning of a mathematical problem, we have faith and belief that the problem will be answered. Mathematicians are people who prove theories. Like Pagans, Buddhists, and Christians we all have faith in a theory. At the basis of the technology is math. That math creates new life in different forms; computers, the ability to alter food supply, and of course medicine that heals. While most would not think stones and minerals represent mathematics. Certain stones, in particular, are connected to this skill. Clear quartz, tiger's eye, turquoise, fluorite, and sodalite are all excellent stones to help with studying. These stones help with mental clarity so that you can be free of mental distractions while doing mathematics. We even see the math in the tarot. In the tarot, each card and suit have a meaning. There are four suits in the tarot. Like the tarot, every element is representative of a person's personality and actions. The pentacle suit connects to the earth element. The Suit of Pentacles covers the material aspects of life. It represents education, work, money, and ego of the querent. In a reading can show both manifestations and the need to look past materialism. The deities that are associated with the lesson of Math vary depending upon which pantheon you follow. We are just going to look at only two pantheons. In the Hindu pantheon, you have the God Ganesha, who is believed to be the God of the planets, horoscopes, and mathematical calculations. The Hindu people held festivities and honored him between August 20th and September 15th. Lord Ganesha is one of the most popular Gods in the Hindu pantheon. There are many temples located throughout the globe. In Rome, you have the Goddess Athena, Muse Thalia, and God Apollo. The Muse Thalia would be one of the nine Muse, as a daughter of Zeus she was born with the ability to inspire. Thalia would inspire not just in the art of comedy, but in math too. She is considered the Goddess of geometry and the architecture of the Gods. Athena is the Goddess of wisdom. She is a supporter of sciences, and mathematics is a science. Athena is called upon for guidance for engineers to create. Her brother Apollo is the God of knowledge. Apollo believed all living things move in rhythm together, this includes math. The Pythagorean philosophers studied the same laws of harmony and balance of math and music followed in honor of Apollo. Mathematics expresses values that reflect the cosmos, including orderliness, balance, harmony, logic, and abstract beauty.

As a mom of three boys who go to public school I started to notice that some things were not being taught in detail so I decided to create lessons for them. Many of these lessons cover science, history and of information about Paganism. I share crafts for the all different holidays and cultures as ways that they can learn and have fun at the same time.
